Rivoli

As soon as we came back home we called the supplier of our colours for the dials and started to describe to their people what we had seen in the skies of Rivoli at sunset.

When we were visiting the small Italian town of Rivoli we spent a couple of hours relaxing at the Castello di Rivoli. The castle was built in the 13th century and is as impressive as castles can get.

It was rather late in the afternoon and we had not had a much rest that day as we had been visiting a few leather goods companies looking for new ideas for packaging for our watches. So the visit to the castle was welcome to wind down somewhat.

When we looked out into the countryside from one of the arches of the castle the sun started to set. It was fascinating to see how it turned from yellow into orange and from orange into a colour we were unable to describe. It was a kind of mauve with on top of it a deep blue.

As soon as we came back home we called the supplier of our colours for the dials and started to describe to their people what we had seen in the skies of Rivoli at sunset. We asked them whether they could come up with the hue for a dial. When we saw the first dial we knew that they had fetched the skies of Rivoli and brought captured them in the dial. This is why we call the watch the Rivoli.
