Tuscany

The watch case follows the famous Bauhaus-style from the 1920s to the letter. It begged to be housing a dial of the highest class with Roman indexes.

How old do you think the cases of this watch are?  We do not know it either. But when we searched through the few things that remained from the old company we found a box. It held 172 cases and the stamp on the box bore the year 1933.

So the cases were made sometime in the 1930s and thus from the times the company came into our family’s hands. We decided to ask our case manufacturer in La Chaux-de-Fonds whether he could make the case fit the modern automatic movement we use. Fortunately, they succeeded in their task.

The watch case follows the famous Bauhaus-style from the 1920s to the letter. It begged to be housing a dial of the highest class with Roman indexes. The colour of the dial reminded our friend Susanne of her family’s favourite vacation spot in Tuscany and we decided to call this watch the Tuscany.
